Today at 10:00 AM in Geneva, Christian Solidarity International (CSI) will host a side event at the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council to mark the third anniversary of Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing of Nagorno Karabakh.

Three years after Azerbaijan forcibly displaced the entire Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh/Artsakh, this event will examine ways in which the international community can uphold the rights of the displaced.

Special attention will be given to the Karabakh Armenians’ right to return to their homeland, their right to self-determination, and to the status of the Armenian civilians and political leaders who were captured by Azerbaijan during the ethnic cleansing and still held hostage in Baku.
